IPL 2022 | GT vs SRH - Fantasy Tips

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be taking on Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match 21 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. After having a terrible start to the tournament, Hyderabad have won their last match against Chennai Super Kings. While Gujarat is playing excellent cricket and have won all their three matches in the tournament so far.

Let's look at how fantasy players should build their teams for the match ahead of the game.

Untamed: These players will be the highest point fetchers on most of the days.

Washington Sundar: Sundar has been the utility player for SRH. He has been contributing to his team with both the bat and the ball in the tournament for his team. His all-round performances have been an enormous asset for the team.

In the first match, Sundar scored 40 runs off 14 deliveries, the innings came too late in the game, but it was a brilliant little cameo from the left-hander. In the next match against Lucknow, the bowling all-rounder proved his mettle with the ball. He picked up two wickets from 4 overs, conceding just 28 runs.

His excellent form with the ball continued in the next match against Chennai. He picked up two wickets again, conceding 21 runs in 4 overs. So, he has consistently given points, be it with the bat or the ball. Thus, he is a must-pick for the match.

Shubman Gill: The talent and elegance of Shubman are praised by fans and critics alike. He provides solidity to the Gujarat batting order at the top order. The team depends mainly on his batting abilities for some solid starts.

Gill scored a zero in the first match for Gujarat in IPL 2022. But in the next two games, Gill has scored 180 runs off 105 deliveries. He scored at a strike rate of 171.14 and an RPI of 90. His hit's golden form makes him a must-pick for the match.

Rashid Khan: The Afghan leggie is the main wicket-taking option for Hardik Pandya. The GT franchise hopes that he delivers on his reputation and keeps giving them wickets in the middle overs every match.

In the first two tournament matches, Rashid was not finding his wicket-taking form. Although he was bowling economically, he was not picking up enough wickets. But in the last game against PBKS, Rashid Khan picked up three wickets, conceding just 22 runs from his four overs.

Thus, much to the relief of his team, he is amongst wickets, and the form he is in makes him a valuable pick for the match.

Shilly Shally: These are players whose forms keep fluctuating; hence expecting good returns from them every day can be risky.

Nicholas Pooran: The Trinidadian cricketer was one of the most expensive buys in the mega auction ahead of IPL 2022. SRH bought him for INR 10.75 Cr. But so far, he has not lived up to the expectations.

In the IPL 2022, the southpaw has scored just 39 runs in three innings thus far. He has scored at a strike rate of 111.43 and an RPI of just 13. He is looking totally out of form. But his IPL career strike rate of 151.41 shows that he can be a match-winner on any given day. Inconsistency has been an issue with him, and his current form makes him a risky pick for the match.

David Miller: David Miller has played 92 IPL matches in his career. He has scored 2030 runs in these matches at a strike rate of 136.61. His RPI in IPL is 22.80. His strike rate proves that he is a match-winner, but Miller's primary issue is that he lacks consistency.

In the 15th edition of IPL, Miller has 40 deliveries. He has scored 56 runs in them at a strike rate of 140. But he has not got enough chances to bat yet. So, given his overall record, Miller is a risky option for the match.

Unhailed: They are players one needs to back as they will eat up fewer credit points but give consistent returns.

Abhishek Sharma: In the first two matches of the tournament, Sharma failed to deliver as per expectations. He looked uncomfortable during his stay at the crease. But in the game against CSK, he played a counter-attacking brand of cricket and never allowed the opposition to come back into the match.

Sharma scored 75 runs off 50 deliveries in the match, and his aggressive approach also allowed other batters in the team to take time and settle down on a slowish wicket. The temperament and composure on the left-hander's part impressed everybody. The form he is in makes him a profitable pick for the match.

Rahul Tewatia: Tewatia is making it a habit of rescuing his team under pressure. Gujarat was required to score 12 runs off the two deliveries in the last match. What Tewatia did at the stage was unreal; he slammed two sixes of the two deliveries and won Gujarat the game.

In IPL 2022, he scored runs at a strike rate of 191.43 in the lower order. Rahul Tewatia can bowl some overs, too; this makes him a very profitable pick for the match.

In IPL 2022, Natarajan has bowled 12 overs, conceding 99 runs in them. He has also picked up three wickets in the tournament. His average of 16.6 and strike rate of 12.0 show that he gives consistent points in every match. Hence, Natarajan will be a significant pick for the game.

Stealthy Warriors: These players are not so common names in the IPL. Hence picking them might give one an advantage over their competitors.

Sai Sudarshan: Sai Sudarshan has just appeared in one match now. But he impressed everybody with his 35 runs knocking off 30 deliveries in Gujarat's last game against PBKS. Therefore, he can be a pick who can give some extra points to the fantasy players. Sai Sudarshan can be the x-factor for the team.

Rahul Tripathi: Rahul Tripathi has scored 83 runs off 48 deliveries in IPL 2022. He is looking in good touch and is adding dynamism to the Hyderabad middle-order. But due to a brittle top order, Tripathi has not got the proper exposure and ideal situation to bat. So, he will be a good pick and can contribute some valuable points to a team.

Imposters: Players who are currently not at their best and are expected to give negative points.

Umran Malik: Umran Malik is impressing everybody with his genuine pace. But the main concern with him is his control. He has conceded runs at an economy of 10.7 in IPL 2022 and has just picked up two wickets in the 10 overs he has bowled. His expensive spells will deduce points for fantasy players.

Matthew Wade: Matthew Wade has scored just 37 runs from 38 deliveries in IPL 2022. His strike rate is just 97.37, and his RPI is 12.33. Thus, he is not having any positive influence on the team. So, Wade will be a player to stay away from in this match.
