IPL 2022 | DC vs RR | The Number's game for your Fantasy XI

The 34th match of the IPL will take place at the Wankhede Stadium, where Delhi Capitals (DC) will go up against Rajasthan Royals (RR). Delhi’s journey this season has been a roller coaster ride. In some matches, they have been outstanding, but in others, they have been completely outplayed by the opposition. On the other hand, RR is having a pretty good time in the tournament, winning four out of their six matches.

Before the fixture gets underway, we bring you a list of players and their numbers in this edition of the league, against the opponent and historically at the venue.

Delhi Capitals:

David Warner: David Warner has been more than impressive for DC since joining the team this season. The onus has been on him to provide the team with solid yet blazing starts.

IPL 2022: In IPL 2022, he has played four matches and has scored 191 runs in them. He is batting with a strike rate of 152.8, and his RPI (Runs Per Innings) for the tournament is 47.75. 

Vs Rajasthan Royals: The Aussie opener has played 12 matches against RR and has scored 389 runs in them. His strike against the men in pink is 125.1, and his RPI is 32.41. Thus, his record against the opponents is quite decent.

At Wankhede Stadium: Warner has played six matches at the Wankhede Stadium in IPL. In these six matches, he has scored 234 runs at a strike rate of 155, and his RPI is 39. 

Fantasy Indicator: Green

Kuldeep Yadav: IPL 2022 has been the redemption season for Kuldeep Yadav. After not getting enough chances to play in the last two seasons while being a part of KKR, he has bounced back in fashion while playing for the capitals. 

IPL 2022: In IPL 2022, Kuldeep Yadav has picked up 13 wickets from six matches. His average in the tournament is 14.31, and his strike rate is 10.92. He is the prime wicket-taking option for DC in the tournament with such an impressive record.

Vs Rajasthan Royals: Kuldeep has played five matches against RR. In these five matches, he has conceded 114 runs at an economy rate of 6 runs per over and picked up seven wickets. His average against the men in pink is 16.3, and his strike rate is also the same. So, he is a genuine wicket-taking option against RR.

At Wankhede: In IPL Kuldeep has played three matches at the Wankhede Stadium. He has just picked up two wickets at an economy rate of nearly ten runs per over. But unfortunately, his record at the particular venue is not that impressive.

Fantasy Indicator: Yellow

Rishabh Pant: The skipper of the DC team is someone who can change the complexion of a match single-handedly. But his form in the tournament has been blowing hot and cold.

IPL 2022: In this season, Pant has scored 144 runs in five innings at a strike rate of 144.94. But his RPI is just 24, which speaks of his inconsistency in the tournament.

Vs Rajasthan Royals: Pant has played seven matches against RR and has scored 300 runs in them. His RPI against RR is 42.85, and his strike rate is 164.8. Statistics indicate that Pant enjoys the RR bowling, and today might be the day he regains his form.

At Wankhede Stadium: At Wankhede Stadium in the IPL, Pant has scored 240 runs in 6 matches. His strike rate is over 180, and his RPI is 40. He, therefore, feels at home on this ground.

Rajasthan Royals:

Jos Buttler: Jos Buttler is currently the highest run-scorer in the tournament. He is scoring quick and consistently in the tournament.

IPL 2022: Buttler has scored two centuries and two half-centuries in six matches. He has scored 375 runs at a strike rate of 156.9 and an average of over 75. 

Vs Delhi Capitals: Against DC, Buttler has featured in 8 matches. He has scored 181 runs against them at an RPI of 22.62 and a strike rate of 179.2. However, the stats suggest that it might not be his day today.

At Wankhede Stadium: Buttler has played 19 matches at the Wankhede Stadium in IPL, scoring 534 runs with a strike rate of 144.7, and his RPI is just 28.10. His performance can be termed par at the venue.

Fantasy Indicator: Yellow

Shimron Hetmyer: Shimron Hetmyer has been the reason behind the robust finishes of RR this season.

IPL 2022: Hetmyer has scored 223 runs in the tournament at a strike rate of 179.84. His RPI for the season is 37.16, and he is looking in great form.

Vs Delhi Capitals: Being a part of the Delhi Capitals team the previous season and not getting a chance to play against them when he was in RCB, this will be his debut against DC in IPL.

At Wankhede: Hermyer has played in just two matches at the Wankhede stadium in IPL. He has scored 101 runs in them at a strike rate of 150.7 and is yet to be dismissed at the venue.

Fantasy Indicator: Green

Yuzvendra Chahal: Yuzi Chahal is proving his worth as a bowler in the tournament. He has been the prime wicket-taking option for the team and has been one of the main reasons for RR’s brilliant show this season.

IPL 2022: He has picked up 17 wickets in the six matches and is currently the highest wicket-taker in the tournament. With a hat trick in the last match against Kolkata, he shifted the balance of the match entirely towards RR.

Vs Delhi Capitals: Chahal has 15 wickets in 15 matches against Delhi. His average against DC is 27.7, and his strike rate is 20.9, while he concedes run at 7.97 per over rate.

At Wankhede Stadium: In IPL, Chahal has featured at the Wankhede in 9, picking up 13 wickets at an average of 21.1 and strike rate of 14.8. His economy rate at the venue is 8.56.
