IPL 2022 | CSK vs RCB | Fantasy Tips

It's the return of the much-awaited South Indian derby as the defending champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 'Match 49' of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

Chennai have been in hot form after the reinstatement of MS Dhoni as the skipper of the yellow army. However, it will be a bittersweet reunion for Faf du Plessis and his men, as his side have struggled to find momentum after their early success in the tournament.

Both the sides will look to earn two points here tonight to keep their hopes of making it into the playoffs, the Super Kings look like the firm favourites to emerge as the winners tonight, but it could be too early to call it a day on the Challengers.

After a lot of meticulous planning and consideration, we have a list of names that could provide you with some big rewards in the fantasy contests tonight.

Powerplay:

Mukesh Chowdhary: Mukesh has been spitting fire with the new ball in his hand during the powerplay and has been the bane for the batters so far this season. Despite an underwhelming season for the defending champions, the left-arm medium-pacer has picked up eleven wickets this season and could be CSK's star tonight.

Ruturaj Gaikwad: Ruturaj Gaikwad missed out on a well deserved century in the last game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. The batter is well known for his knocks once he gets going, and it could be the knock the player was looking for this season.

Josh Hazlewood: The Australian bowler has been RCB's star in the bowling department this season, picking up ten wickets to his name in his six appearances. Considering his familiarity with the squad, the bowler has excellent control in the powerplay and could pose a significant threat to the Super Kings.

Middle Overs:

Wanindu Hasaranga: The Sri Lankan bowling all-rounder has been one of the most crucial players for this franchise this season, justifying his enormous price tag. Hasaranga has fifteen wickets to his name this season and could control the game's pace with his bowling in the middle overs.

Ambati Rayudu: The experienced batter has been a cornerstone for the defending champions for the past few seasons and could be your go-to pick tonight with his ability to accelerate in the middle overs. Rayudu has 246 runs to his name in seven innings so far and could be a great addition to your fantasy lineup.

Maheesh Theekshana: Just like his Sri Lankan compatriot, Theekshana has been an excellent asset for the Super Kings. While the player has picked up just eight wickets to his name so far in his eight outings, he has been essential in the middle over with his economical bowling.

Death Overs:

Harshal Patel: Harshal has failed to recreate his 'Purple Patel' phenomenon from last season, with the bowler managing just ten wickets to his name in nine games. However, it is essential to note that the bowler is a crucial member of the Red and Gold Army and could turn the game's tide with his bowling in the death overs.

Dinesh Karthik: Karthik has been sensational with the bat and has hammered the finisher's role to its perfection. The experienced Indian wicketkeeper has scored 218 runs with a staggering strike rate of 194.64 and could be once again a great addition considering the top order woes for the Royal Challengers.

MS Dhoni: Dhoni and death overs have been a fairytale story that has always brought a smile to his fans. The legendary wicketkeeper batter has been a superstar of the game, and with his ability to change the game's outcome in the slog overs, it would be a mistake to leave him out.
