IPL 2022 | CSK vs GT | Match 29 Preview, Prediction, Probable XI, CREX XI

Gujarat Titans, riding on their winning chariot, will take on the Chennai Super Kings in the 29th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.

Gujarat Titans have done well under Hardik Pandya. They will be looking to continue their winning streak against Chennai Super Kings, who found their first win in the tournament against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The newcomers in IPL had a dream start to their tournament campaign, winning four of their five games and sitting comfortably at the top of the points table with 8 points to their credit.

The Titans smashed the fellow new entrants Lucknow Super Giants, Delhi Capitals, and Punjab Kings before succumbing to 8 wicket defeat against SunRisers Hyderabad. However, they made a quick comeback, beating Rajasthan Royals by 37 runs in their previous match to clinch their fourth win of the tournament.

The bowling trio of Mohammed Shami, Rashid Khan, and Lockie Ferguson has dismantled some of the most robust batting lines, and the team will expect them to emulate the same against CSK.

One of the major concerns for the table-toppers would be their top order, which is yet to fire in the tournament. Shubman Gill looked good at the top. However, he needs to be more consistent while Matthew Wade's top knock for GT is still due. Vijay Shankar's poor form has continued, and it is yet to be seen if Hardik Pandya will take some tough calls against CSK.

On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings had a dreadful start to their IPL 2022 campaign as they lost four consecutive games. Still, their win against Royal Challengers Bangalore would have boosted their morale and confidence.

The Super Kings posted a staggering 217 runs on the scoreboard as Shivam Dube smacked 95 runs while Robin Uthappa punched 88 runs. They want to continue the same momentum to climb up in the points table. Currently, they occupy the second-last spot with two points in their kitty.

CSK still has some issues to tackle as Rututaj Gaikwad hasn't looked half of what he was in the previous season, while Moeen Ali also failed to make an impact with the bat for the men in yellow.

While Gujarat Titans are in good touch currently, Chennai Super Kings cannot be taken lightly in this encounter after their first morale-boosting win in the season. With two crucial points up for grab, we are in for another cracking game.

The pitch at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune, offers equal help to both departments. Toss won't impact the game much as the team batting first has won three out of the five matches played at this venue. Still, considering the dew factor, teams might look interested in chasing.

IPL 2022 | SRH vs PBKS | Match 28 Preview, Prediction, Probable XI, CREX XI

Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be looking to sustain their winning momentum in the tournament when they take on each other in the 28th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 on 17th April at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai. The Punjab Kings got off to the perfect start in IPL 2022 as they managed to eke out three victories from five matches and are currently placed at the fifth position of the points table, owing to their better net run rate. The Kings are coming off a nerve-wracking 12 run win over the five-time champions, Mumbai Indians. Riding on stellar knocks from captain Mayank Agarwal and Shikhar Dhawan, the men in red were able to outplay Mumbai. (While their opener looked in good touch in the previous game, the bowlers were accurate in their lines and lengths. However, Arshdeep Singh and Odean Smith took on the MI bowlers and didn't allow them to settle in, which saw Mumbai bundled out for 186 runs. Punjab Kings probably have the most destructive top order in the tournament this season, and they will be keen on utilising it the most when they take on Hyderabad on Sunday. Sunrisers Hyderabad, meanwhile, opened their season with two back-to-back defeats. However, they bounced back and clinched three consecutive wins to climb up in the standings. With 6 points in their account, Sunrisers Hyderabad sits at the points table's seventh spot. The champions of 2016 beat Kolkata Knight Riders by seven wickets in the previous game while chasing 175, owing to captain Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram's match-winning knock. The likes of Kane Williamson and T Natarajan have been impressive in the last couple of games, and with their middle-order also firing, Sunrisers Hyderabad will fancy their chances over Punjab Kings on Sunday. Match Details Match: Punjab Kings vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, Match 28 Venue: Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai Date & Time: 17th April at 3:30 PM IST and Local Time Live Streaming: Star Sports Network and Disney+Hotstar Pitch Report Batters have been able to bat freely at this venue, but the bowlers have also had their say, and the same might repeat in this match. Since it's an afternoon match, dew won't impact the game's result, and both teams will look to bowl first after winning the toss.
