IPL 2022 | A hilarious moment (throw) from Prasidh during chase left whole Royals contingent in splits

Rajasthan Royals suffered their second consecutive defeat on Monday (May 2) night, and if there is one incident that perfectly summed up their evening, it's got to be the one where Prasidh Krishna's throw proceeded to hit his own teammate, Trent Boult.

During the third over of the Kolkata Knight Riders' innings, the hilarious incident occurred when Baba Indrajith pushed a full-length delivery from Boult to mid-on.

The ball went straight to Prasidh, who aimed a direct hit at the striker's end but ended up hitting Boult, leaving everyone, including the Kiwi pacer, in splits.

Watch the incident here:

Meanwhile, a brilliant 23-ball 42 from Rinku Singh and an unbeaten 37-ball 48 from Nitish Rana have helped KKR break their five-match losing streak and scrap a seven-wicket win at the expense of the inaugural champions.

Singh proved to be the star of the show on Monday night. The southpaw, it felt, was playing on a completely different surface as compared to other players as he played some delightful strokes during his maiden appearance this season.

KKR made a heavy meal of what was a pretty gettable target as the likes of Aaron Finch failed to make an impact.

Skipper Shreyas also struggled largely during the course of his 32-ball 34, and it was Rana's intent during the initial phase of their partnership and Rinku's knock, which ensured that they didn't have to rely on Andre Russell again to do the finishing job.

Earlier, Rajasthan dished out a poor batting display as Jos Buttler (22 off 25), and Sanju Samson (54 off 49) failed to up the ante throughout their knocks.

It took cameos from Shimron Hetmyer (27* off 13) and Parag (19 off 12) to get them past 150, but as it turned out to be inadequate.
