Visa issues during the ongoing India tour of Caribbean are giving serious headache to Cricket West Indies (CWI) ahead of the US leg of series. According to a report from Cricbuzz, there is a delay in receiving US Visas for members of both teams.

Two matches in the series have been scheduled to be played at Central Broward Park in Lauderhill, Florida, on the 6th & 7th of August. However, CWI is considering shifting both the matches to Caribbean, in case there is no confirmation on the arrival of Visas.

There were also some reports suggesting that players and support staff might have to travel back to Trinidad from St Kitts to receive their Visa documents, the place where they applied from.

What West Indies Officials have to say on this

"Having the games in the Caribbean is not unlikely but efforts are being made to resolve the visa issue,"

"There are options being explored while we continue to pursue the possibilities of receiving the outstanding visas,"

CWI should consider moving the series

Peeking into this matter, CWI should look to shift the entire series to Caribbean, instead of the travel-restricted US. Just in case the US plan does not go ahead, jeopardising the matches could result in heavy losses for the already cash-strapped board.
