After India won the first match convincingly, West Indies made a strong comeback in the second match of the T20I series. The hosts dismantled the strong Indian top order and restricted them to a small total which they chased down with 4 balls remaining in the match.

With the series levelled at 1-1, the two teams will take each other on in the third match today , 2nd August, 2022. Here are some tips for the fantasy league ahead of the competition.

Captain and Vice Captain Picks:

Rohit Sharma

After a good start to the series, Rohit Sharma failed to score in the second match. As the leader of the Indian team he will be itching to bounce back strongly and redeem himself in this match. Also, his record against the West Indians suggest that the failure in the second match was a one-off. So, the Indian skipper might well be a very good pick as the captain or vice captain.

Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep Singh showed nerves of steel under pressure in the second match. Given the fact that he bowls the hardest overs in a T20 match, there is high probability that he will pick up more wickets than most of the bowlers in a match. Also, the fact that he concedes very less runs in his spells acts in favour of making him the captain or vice captain for the match.

Brandon King

Coming in as a replacement of Shamarh Brooks in the second match King proved to be a match winner for the West Indies. His technique and approach of play showed that he is perfectly suited for the shortest format of the game. Going ahead in the series he might give consistent returns in case of fantasy points and hence might be a good pick as a captain or vice captain.

Game Changers:

Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav proved his mettle in the final T20I match in England scoring a magnificent century under pressure. Although, he has failed to score considerable runs in the first two matches, a player of his class could never be written off. With the pressure mounting on him to deliver a big performance he might turn out to be the game changer in the next match.

Obed McCoy

Obed McCoy showed in the second match that a game of T20 can turn on its head in a matter of few balls. His brilliant opening spell in the match gave India a jolt from which they never actually recovered.  With India's everlasting woes against left-arm pace bowling, he can turn out be the X-factor for West Indies once again in the third match.

Nicholas Pooran

The West Indian skipper has already thrown away two good starts in the series. He will be eager to go big and lead the team from the front in the next match. Given his hitting capabilities, Pooran van very well change the complexion of a match even from a apparently impossible situation.
