  • I Am Looking Forward To This Interesting Battle Says Axar On Having Face Off Against Hetmyer Ashwin

‘I am looking forward to this interesting battle’, says Axar on having face off against Hetmyer, Ashwin

Delhi Capitals will lock horns with Rajasthan Royals in their seventh game of this season tonight. Ahead of this crucial clash, the star DC spinner Axar Patel has opened up about his possible battle against former teammates Shimron Hetmyer and Ravichandran Ashwin.

In a video posted by Delhi Capitals, the experienced Indian all-rounder has said that as both Hetmyer and Ashwin once used to play alongside him for the Capitals, they are well aware of each other’s strengths as well as weaknesses. Therefore, he expects it to be an exciting battle if they face each other at any match stage.

“Shimron Hetmyer and R Ashwin know our tactics, and we also have a clue about their strengths and weaknesses. This will be an interesting battle; I am looking forward to it”, Axar said.

“You will always come up against someone with whom you have played in the different teams. But if my former teammate hits me for a boundary, I will go all out against him. When you are on the ground, the friendships stay outside of the park. We all play to win games for our team,” he further added.

Delhi registered an emphatic victory against Punjab Kings in their last game on Wednesday.

Axar revealed that defeating a strong Punjab side has acted as a confidence booster for DC, and they are raring to give their best against RR tonight.

“After all the odds were against us, the way we played was quite magnificent. Morale has been really high after the victory. But we need to keep our heads down and stay in the present”, DC’s second retained man concluded.
