In a massive setback for Karachi Kings, premier batter Litton Das has been ruled out of the upcoming Pakistan Super League season due to injury. The stylish top-order batter from Bangladesh announced the development through his official social media handle.

Injury Sidelines Litton Das From PSL 2025

Litton Das was picked up by the Karachi Kings in the recently held PSL 2025 draft. The talismanic batter had also joined the franchise ahead of their opening encounter in the competition.

However, the right-handed batter sustained a finger injury during one of the practice sessions. He immediately underwent scans which revealed a hairline fracture in his finger. This is the reason why Litton has flown back to his home and won't participate in the showpiece event.

"Hope you all are well. I was truly excited to play in the PSL for Karachi Kings, but the Almighty had other plans. During a practice session, I picked up a finger injury. Scans revealed a hairline fracture, and recovery will take at least 2 weeks. So sadly, my PSL mission is over before it even began. I'm flying back to Bangladesh and seeking your prayers & love for a quick recovery. Wishing the very best of luck to my team Karachi Kings," Litton posted on Facebook.

The PSL 2025 began yesterday, with defending champions Islamabad United swatting aside Lahore Qalandars comfortably in the tournament opener. Two matches have been scheduled for today; while Peshawar will face Quetta in the afternoon, Karachi will take on Multan Sultans in the evening affair.
