Legendary Indian batter Virat Kohli is all set to make his Ranji Trophy comeback through Delhi's upcoming clash against Railways, starting on the 30th of this month. Kohli, who missed the last game due to a neck sprain, has been included in Delhi's squad for the much-awaited face-off and is expected to play his first Ranji Trophy match after twelve years.

As Virat Kohli is a global superstar, a large crowd is expected to gather at Delhi's Arun Jaitley stadium to watch him play against Railways. Therefore, the Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) is leaving no stone unturned to ensure enhanced security at the iconic venue.

DDCA Seeks Special Security Arrangement For Kohli's Ranji Trophy Return

According to the Times Of India (TOI), the DDCA will write a letter to the Delhi Police, seeking tightened security measures at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. This move will enable a smooth and hassle-free experience for the spectators while marginalising any inconvenience in the stands.

"The Delhi Police will receive a letter from us. We have enhanced our private security, so we have initiated all these arrangements, and we will attempt to ensure there is no inconvenience for the fans when they come on January 30 to see the match," DDCA secretary Ashok Sharma was quoted as saying by TOI.

No Rishabh Pant; Badoni To Lead Delhi On Kohli's Comeback Match

Regarding Delhi's squad, swashbuckling keeper-batter Rishabh Pant won't feature in their final Ranji Trophy clash against Railways. Promising batter Ayush Badoni will lead the team, while Kohli will likely train with the rest of his teammates.
