India have been in a surreal form in the T20 Internationals off late. They haven’t lost any T20I series this year after playing against the likes of South Africa, England, and the West Indies. All-rounder Hardik Pandya has credited the team management for India’s sensational performance in the international circuit.

The 28-year-old revealed that there is a safe environment in the dressing room that provides the players an opportunity to express themselves on the field without any inhibitions or pressure. Further, he gave his own example to express how the authorities are trying their best to give a good platform to the players.

Hardik Pandya is treated with respect in the Indian team

Pandya has been in and out of the team for the past two years. The all-rounder suffered a back injury and it took him a considerable amount of time to regain his strength both as a bowler and as a batter. Despite the continuous sabbaticals taken by the Gujarat Titans skipper, he was treated with the utmost respect.

Pandya said as quoted by India Today,

“I have been in and out of the team, but to see the respect and value they have given me is incredible. The kind of mindset we are coming from, the players are much more relaxed. They don't want to feel the pressure of playing for India, they just want to express themselves. Credit to the management for making this team much more secure than any team I have ever played with in the past."

Pandya speaks on the India vs Pakistan battle

Further in the interaction, the 28-year-old reflected on the hype surrounding India vs Pakistan battle. The two teams are playing against each other in their opening match for the Asia Cup 2022 at the Dubai International Stadium. While Pandya understands the emotions involved with the encounter, he revealed that there is no added performance pressure.

The team will treat the match against Pakistan as a normal game and they don’t focus too much on proving a point or the past records.
