Gujarat Titans go past CSK for dropped catches

Despite being one of the leading contenders to make it to the playoffs, Gujarat Titans team is undergoing an IPL season to forget in regards to fielding. After their first 11 matches of the season, Shubman Gill and co. have already dropped 24 catches to become the second worst side in terms of missed opportunities.

By dropping three catches against Mumbai Indians, the Titans went past MS Dhoni’s struggling CSK group (21 dropped catches). Rajasthan Royals, with 25 dropped chances, remain the worst fielding side this season.

While Rajasthan Royals and CSK have already been eliminated from the season’s playoffs race, the Gujarat Titans remain one of the leading contenders to secure a top four finish. The Titans franchise has managed to register seven wins at an expense of just three defeats from their first 10 matches of the season.

Another win over Mumbai Indians at this stage of the tournament will take them among the top two sides on the points table.
