In a significant development, Punjab Kings roped in famed domestic spinner Tanush Kotian as net bowler amid the ongoing IPL 2025 season. Known for his extraordinary all-round skills, Kotian joined the Punjab franchise ahead of their ninth group-stage fixture against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens. 

Tanush Kotian Joins PBKS Setup For IPL 2025

Tanush Kotian is a young spin-bowling all-rounder famous for his exploits in the Indian domestic circuit. Recently, Punjab Kings drafted him as a net bowler in a bid to help their batters fine-tune their spin-hitting in the IPL 2025. 

The 26-year-old cricketer enjoyed stellar success in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25. He represented Mumbai in the competition, bagging 23 wickets in 11 innings at a superb strike rate of 43. Added to that, Kotian slammed 314 runs in 10 innings at a solid average of 34.89, emerging as one of Mumbai's key batters in the competition. 

 His ability to strike at crucial junctures and play handy cameos made him a valuable asset for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy. 

Tanush Kotian IPL Team And Salary

Mumbai's promising all-rounder Tanush Kotian had set a base price of INR 30 lakhs for the mega auction. However, he failed to attract the bidders, eventually going unsold in the event. 

Thus, his stint with Punjab Kings holds significant importance for Kotian, who aims to break into the IPL setup by impressing through the ranks. Overall, he has played 33 T20s, scalping 33 wickets and scoring 87 runs. 

He has also featured in one IPL game, having played for Rajasthan Royals in the 2024 season. In that match, Kotian struck valuable 24 runs with the bat. 

PBKS Meet KKR In A Mega Clash

Led by Shreyas Iyer, Punjab Kings have been prolific in the IPL 2025. They are currently placed fifth with eight points and will take on KKR in a riveting contest tonight.
