On Sunday, September 14, India handed Pakistan a thumping seven-wicket defeat to go on top of the table with four points in two matches. The Men in Blue only have a solitary game left in their group stage against Oman on September 19. 

None of the teams across the two groups have qualified for the super four stage, but India has kept a foot in the super four round. Although the Suryakumar Yadav-led side has yet to officially qualify for the next round. But is there still a twist in the tale? Or can India still crash out of the league stage? Here are the scenarios.

Scenarios For India To Crash Out Of Asia Cup 2025

-For India to qualify, they need to beat Oman to get to six points and qualify. However, if Oman beat India by a big margin, then the Men in Blue will end their group-stage campaign with four points in two three-matches.

-If Oman then beats UAE, then can also take their points tally to four points and equal India in points tally. 

-Now if Pakistan beat UAE in their last group-stage match, then the Men in Green too would finish with four points.

-Thus, there is a possibility that only three teams end up with four points. Now for India to crash out, Oman and Pakistan need to have a higher net-run rate, which is a daunting task as India have a +4.793, but there is a scenario and the only possibility for India to not qualify. 

Fortunately for Men in Blue, they need not worry much as they are very much ahead in the race to qualify.
