  • Buttler Picks Kuldeep As Most Fearsome Bowler While Ashwin Picks Ct Final Over The Ball Of The Century

Buttler picks Kuldeep as most fearsome bowler; while Ashwin picks CT final over the 'Ball of the Century'

Among all IPL teams, Rajasthan Royals undoubtedly have the best social media team; and there is no doubt about that. The current third-placed team, as per the points table, are making headlines both on and off the field as well. So are its players.

The Royals recently uploaded a video of Jos Buttler and Ravichandran Ashwin getting candid in a rapid-fire round on its official social media page. In that video, both the Royals were seen taking cheeky digs at each other, apart from discussing their favourite cricketing related memories.

The Englishman, who is currently the highest run-getter of the season, admitted that his teammate Kuldeep Sen is the most fearsome bowler at the moment.

“At the moment, I’ll probably stay away from Kuldeep Sen. He’s the fastest,” Buttler, who is known for hardly being seen in the nets during the tournament, commented.

Sen is yet another blazing find by the Rajasthan-based franchise. The 25-year old pacer, in the clash against Lucknow, clocked 146.3 kph when he bowled a scorching delivery to Quinton de Kock.

Further in the conversation, the wicketkeeper chose ‘the Wall’ as the batter whom he would choose to bat for his life.

“If your life was on the line, who would you choose to bat for you?” - asked Ashwin. ‘Rahul Dravid,’ answered Buttler instantly. “The wall, you can’t get past that. He’d bat all day,” replied Buttler.

As the rapid-fire progressed, the off-spinner was given two options to choose from: The last over he bowled in the 2013 Champions Trophy or the ball that he bowled to outfox Hashim Amla - that was later called the T20 Ball of the Century - in the 2014 ICC event.

“It’s a tough choice. I’d pick the first one, the Champions Trophy, last over. It has to be the bigger event, I think,” replied Ashwin.

The 2013 tournament was the last ICC event that India won, and both these cricketers were part of that tournament. Interestingly, MS Dhoni-led unit defended an under-par 130-run total in a final, which was turned into a 20-over fixture due to rain.

Coming back to the main business, RR’s Buttler in the last match broke the record for most runs in IPL history. He overtook Virat Kohli while breaking the record of runs scored after playing seven IPL games in a single season.

Ironically, Rajasthan are next scheduled to meet Royal Challengers Bangalore on Tuesday (April 26) at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.
