Shafiul Islam scalped one wicket for 26 runs in 4 overs for his side.

IND vs WI | 3rd ODI: Shreyas Iyer, pacers hand India 3-0 whitewash win vs West Indies

Some disappointing fielding effort from India and resistance from the West Indies lower order might have delayed the visitors' defeat but couldn't prevent them from suffering a 0-3 loss in this ODI series in Ahmedabad. Chasing 266 in 50 overs, the Indian pacers rattled West Indies' top and middle-order to reduce them to 82/7 in the 19th over before Odean Smith and Alzarri Joseph tried to steady the ship. Smith took on Kuldeep Yadav and hammered 36 runs in just 18 deliveries which included three maximums and as many fours during the course. He was eventually undone by Mohammed Siraj after being caught by Shikhar Dhawan. But Joseph and Hayden Walsh frustrated the Indian team further as they chipped in with a stand of 67 runs for the ninth wicket before Siraj eventually got rid of Walsh for 13 off 38. Later, Prasidh Krishna wrapped up the West Indies innings as he scalped the final wicket of Joseph who was caught in the deep by Kohli for 29 off 56 as the visiting side was bundled out for 169 to lose the match by 96 runs. Krishna and Siraj bagged a three-fer each while Deepak Chahar and Kuldeep Yadav picked up two wickets apiece for India. Earlier, in the day, India were pushed on to the back foot after losing Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, and Virat Kohli early in the innings but Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer chipped in with a partnership of 110 runs for the fourth wicket. Both the batters struck individual fifties during the course with Iyer top-scoring with 80 off 111. Apart from these two, Washington Sundar and Deepak Chahar also made valuable contributions. While Sundar scored 33 off 34, Chahar struck a 38-ball 38 to help India put 265 in 50 overs on the board. Holder was the pick of the bowlers for West Indies after he scalped a four-wicket haul for 34 runs in 8 overs.
