Birthday Boy Hardik Pandya Cuts Cake On Ground Before World Cup Clash Vs AFG

Hardik Pandya sliced his birthday cake at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi ahead of India's second game of the ICC World Cup 2023 on Wednesday (October 11). The premier India allrounder accepted the good wishes and arrangements made by host broadcaster Star Sports as he was seen cutting a cake on the happy returns of his birth anniversary. 

The Indian broadcaster called in Pandya for a brief pre-match interaction before the Men in Blue took on Afghanistan in the national capital and requested him to cut the cake that had been arranged to celebrate the occasion for one of India's most important contemporary cricketers. 

Among the world's leading all-rounders, the Baroda lad wore the widest grin on his face when he cut the cake on his 30th birthday with Star Sports anchor Jatin Sapru and former India cricketer turned commentator Gautam Gambhir present alongside him. 


Hardik Pandya Cuts Birthday Cake at Feroz Shah Kotla 

Hardik's cake-cutting ceremony was received with claps all around the historic ground in Delhi, which was sold out for the India-Afghanistan clash. The capacity crowd of above 45,000 cheered loudly while Sapru and Gambhir joined in the happy moment as the Indian allrounder sliced his cake. 

Notably, Pandya took precious time out of his practice duties ahead of the critical World Cup encounter against the Afghans in Delhi. The cricketer was wearing his training gear when he was requested by the Star Sports team to grace the cake-cutting ceremony arranged for him at the Feroz Shah Kotla ground. 

The pictures from the ceremony were shared over Twitter by Star Sports and warmed the hearts of fans on social media. Pandya, who underwent humble beginnings before becoming one of the global cricketing superstars today, enjoys a humoungous fan following and is loved by Indians for how influential he has been to the national side's cause.
