According to News9 Sports, The Board of Control for Cricket in India is planning a special gift for cricket lovers. The BCCI is producing a documentary about the ten Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises. Moreover, it will concentrate on off-field events throughout the ongoing 2022 edition.

Each team has been given at least a five-person crew for this purpose. Furthermore, a five-member central crew will supervise the activities during the tournament's duration.

All four matches will be held in Maharashtra at four different venues. The crew may only work in bio-secure environments that have been created specifically for franchisees.

Cricket documentaries have gained momentum over the past few years, and fans can expect behind-the-scenes footage of the dramatic moments of the two-month-long tournament.

'The Test', a documentary produced by the Australian cricket team, gained worldwide popularity as it caught the viewers' attention with behind-the-scenes footage of the historic Ashes and the 2018-19 Border Gavaskar Trophy.

Roar of the Lion on Disney+ Hotstar, MS Dhoni shares his emotional memories and experiences in this documentary. Dhoni was charged with spot-fixing in 2013 and led the Chennai Super Kings to the IPL title in 2018 after serving a two-year suspension.

After completing the documentary series, BCCI will initiate negotiations with the platforms for distribution rights. If necessary, a tender can be called for exclusive rights to an exciting documentary capturing the ups and downs of one of the world's most prestigious domestic T20 leagues.
