Babar Azam backs Virat Kohli amid latter's lean patch, says "this too shall pass"

Charismatic Indian batter Virat Kohli registered another low score at Lord’s during the 2nd ODI against England. This time around, he departed after scoring a good-looking 16, before nicking off an angling delivery from David Willey. His short stay at the crease on Thursday has further extended his lean patch with the bat, which has prevented him from crossing the 50-run mark in this entire English tour. Moreover, the former Indian captain has been devoid of hundreds ever since he punched out an attacking 136 against Bangladesh in November 2019. A total of 78 innings have been passed since then, but the cricketer's form seems to have only dropped from bad to worse. Surprisingly, Kohli has now found a well-wisher from across the border, with Pakistan's batting maestro Babar Azam taking up the cause.
