Bangladeshi pacer Ebadot Hossain got injured in a match in the Dhaka Premier League while playing for the Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi at Mirpur. He joined DPL right after returning from South Africa but sustained an injury in his second game.
The pacer was struck hard by Nasum Ahmed while bowling in the 49th over of the match. The ball hit his right hand and split the webbing between his fingers, causing a one-inch wide cut.
Ebadot was immediately taken to the hospital for stitches. However, the injury won't take more than a week to heal. A precautionary scan will be done after the stitches have healed, Bangladesh Cricket Board Chief Physician Dr Debashish Chowdhary stated.
Ebadot will be fit for the Sri Lanka series next month. For now, I think he needs seven days to recover. I don't think he will face any problem in participating in the series, Dr Chowdhary further added.
Ebadot is currently the only leading pacer in the Bangladesh Test team as Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam were ruled out of Sri Lanka Test series due to shoulder injury and abdominal issues respectively.
