Tonight, Pakistan will cross swords against South Africa in the second T20I of the ongoing three-match away series at the iconic SuperSport Park in Centurion. Led by Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan had a disappointing start to the series, losing the first T20I by eleven runs. The visitors' premier batter Babar Azam had a forgettable outing, being dismissed for a four-ball duck by Kwena Maphaka. 

Meanwhile, as the Men in Green gear up for the second T20I, Babar Azam could equal legendary former cricketers, Inzamam-ul-Haq and Shahid Afridi, albeit in two entirely different milestones.

Babar Azam is on the verge of surpassing former all-rounder Shahid Afridi on the list of Pakistani batters with the most number of sixes in T20 Internationals. Currently, Babar has 72 sixes under his belt and needs only two maximums to eclipse Afridi, unarguably Pakistan's most celebrated cricketer after Imran Khan.

Babar Could Join Inzamam In Elite List

Babar Azam has been Pakistan's one of the most consistent performers against South Africa, scoring 1332 runs at an average of 42.96 and a strike rate of 92.69 across formats. The talismanic batter has eleven fifty-plus scores against the Proteas and can join the likes of Inzamam-ul-Haq, Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan if he slams a fifty tonight.
