Babar Azam has added another feather to his cap as the Pakistan skipper became the sixth-fastest player to reach 10,000 International runs. The 27-year-old batter also became the fastest Asian player to reach this milestone. 


It is to be noted that the above results are based on innings-wise stats.


Babar Azam has produced such astonishing numbers at an average of over 51, with 24 International Hundreds to his name. 


When did Babar Azam reach 10,000 International runs?


The Lahore-based batter crossed the 10,000 run-mark during the ongoing Test series against Sri Lanka. In response to the hosts' 222 runs in the first innings of the first Test, Babar Azam has been leading from the front with his gritty knock.

ODI Cricket has been the most robust format for the Pakistani batter. The 27-year-old averages almost 60 in this format, scoring 4442 runs at a strike rate of 90.25. He has 2851 runs in Test cricket and 2736 runs in T20I Cricket at an average of 45.60.


Babar has 17 ODI hundreds, 6 Test hundreds and 1 T20I hundred in his seven-year International career. He is just among a handful of players who have scored a hundred in all three formats of international cricket.
