The Indian team's run so far in the Asia Cup 2023 has been an unbeaten one. This tournament is turning out to be a great one for Rohit Sharma & Co. considering the positives they are getting out of each of these matches ahead of the World Cup 2023.

Captain Rohit Sharma is having a great time with the bat and has scored his third consecutive half-century last night against Sri Lanka. He also became the second-fastest to reach the milestone of 10,000 ODI runs as the fastest was Virat Kohli.

Ever since Rohit started opening the innings, he has been a force to reckon with. The man who was left out of the World Cup 2011 squad will now be leading the Indian team at the World Cup 2023 in front of the home crowd.

Hitman's extra-ordinary numbers at the Asia Cup 2023

The Asia Cup 2023 is turning out to be the perfect tournament for the Indian captain. Apart from India's opening game, Rohit has smashed half-centuries in all three of the games. With 194 runs in four games, Rohit is currently the highest scorer of the tournament.

The six-hitting machine is at the top spot when it comes to the player with the highest number of sixes in the tournament. He has smashed 11 sixes so far in the four games. Also, by hitting 21 boundaries, he has struck the highest number of fours in the tournament so far.

Even the greatest cricketers believe that Sharma is a great timer of the ball and makes batting look so easy. With three half-centuries in the tournament, the Hitman is also the player with the most fifties so far.

Indian cricket fans would love to see him continue this run and score loads of runs just like he did in the 2019 World Cup. He is also having a great time as a captain, as he managed to defend a low score of 213 against Sri Lanka yesterday.
