Coastal Riders (CSR) and Vizag Warriors (VZW) will battle it out in the 12th match of the Andhra Premier League (APL) 2022, scheduled at Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium on July 11.

While Coastal Riders have a single win to their credit in three matches, Vizag Warriors have won two of their three games.

Talking about the Riders, they finally got their first win of the season against Uttarandhra Lions after losing the initial two games. After Sirla Hima Srinivas' heroics with the ball that helped CSR restrict the opposition to 133/8, Pinninti Tapaswi and Mitta Lekhaz Reddy contributed well enough in pushing their side past the finishing line.

Manyala Pranith and Cheepurapalli Stephen were the other vital performers for Coastal Riders that helped the team in gaining their first victory in the competition.

Coming on the back of two successive wins, the Ashwin Hebbar-led Warriors have been one of the top teams in the tournament so far. While their campaign started with a defeat, the side did considerably well to pull back things nicely in the following two outings.

In their last game versus Uttarandhra Lions, Vizag Warriors easily chased the 177-run target. Hebbar and Nakketla Jyothi Sai Krishna set the tone, scoring 47 runs each; Naren Reddy added the final touches to the chase with his 20-ball 34.
