Indian cricketer, KL Rahul was recently put in a difficult spot when he was asked to pick his favourite teammate for IPL 2025. During a recent interview, he was asked to choose between Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and MS Dhoni, and it left him totally stumped.

The three veteran cricketers are legends in their own right and it’s always going to be tough to pick one between them so it wasn’t a surprise that KL Rahul couldn’t pick one.

“I don’t know. It’s a tough one. This is a real pickle you have put me in,” he laughed. He admitted he loved playing with all three and couldn’t pick just one. This moment was part of a Star Sports segment called “KL in a Pickle.”

When asked about his preferred batting spot, Rahul chose 'floater' instead of the usual 'opener' or 'finisher.' From his answer, it was clear that he’s ready to jump in wherever the team needs him most.

Rahul Gearing Up for IPL 2025 Auction

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) decided to let Rahul go after three seasons. He captained the team to the playoffs in 2022 and 2023, but 2024 didn’t go as planned, with LSG ending in seventh place.

Now, Rahul is entering the IPL 2025 mega auction with a base price of ₹ 2 crore, and there’s already buzz around which team will snatch him up.

Even though he captained LSG, Rahul shared he’s not out to grab the captain’s role. He’s open to leading if a team wants him to, but he won’t be asking for it. “If you feel my leadership skills are good enough... I’m happy to do it,”  he explained.

Rahul’s main focus is on joining a team with a strong, positive vibe. According to Karnataka based cricketer, winning takes more than just individual talent, it’s about a team working as one. He wants to be part of a squad that’s truly united and focused on the ultimate goal – lifting the trophy.
