Mumbai Indians vice-captain Suryakumar Yadav hasn’t been in the best of forms lately. Be it for India, Mumbai or MI, the 34-year-old player hasn’t performed up to his standards.
Due for a significant contribution in a team win, doing it to power Indians to their maiden Indian Premier League 2025 victory would be quite an achievement for Yadav. Assuming he is able to bring a personal rut to an end, the right-handed batter could also achieve three personal milestones in the process. They are:
1. 8,000 Runs In T20s
Across 310 T20s spanning over 15 years, Yadav has scored 7,932 runs at an average of 34.04 and a strike rate of 151.92 including six centuries and 54 half-centuries. If he scores 68 runs against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday, he will complete 8,000 runs in the format.
Currently, 33 batters have achieved this personal milestone. Speaking particularly of Indian cricketers, the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina are part of this elite list.
2. 350 Sixes In T20s
Yadav, who has hit 343 sixes, needs to hit seven more sixes to touch the 350-mark in the format. If he is able to achieve this feat, there are strong chances of the above-mentioned also materialising. As of now, he’s at the 35th spot on the list of most sixes in career. Only Rohit and Kohli are above him in this list among Indians.
3. 400 Fours In The IPL
Speaking particularly of the biggest T20 league across the globe, Yadav has hit a total of 387 fours for Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai. If he manages to hit 13 more shots, he will become the 14th batter to have hit 400 IPL fours.
As far as MI players are concerned, Yadav is only behind Rohit in terms of hitting boundaries. Currently at 333, he needs 17 fours to complete 350 fours for the franchise.
