The Champions Trophy is about to get over and the focus will now shift towards the Indian Premier League (IPL) as ten teams will fight it out for the coveted title. The opening match of the tournament will feature the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) up against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

The opening match will have several stars battling against each other for supremacy. RCB will start as the underdogs against the defending champions, but they do have 3 players, who can single handedly beat the Knight Riders and here's who they are.

1) Phil Salt

Prior to joining RCB, Phil Salt was with KKR and was a part of their title winning side. The English batter spent an entire season with the team and knows their bowling really well.

The RCB opener had played the likes of Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy in the KKR nets and must know about their strengths and weaknesses. Salt is not in the best of forms, but he enjoyed playing at Eden Gardens last season and could repeat the same feat during the opening match.

2) Rajat Patidar

Perhaps the best spin hitter in the entire IPL, Rajat Patidar, the new RCB captain is a superstar in the making and has an extraordinary game against spin. As the stats suggests, in 22 matches, he has 411 runs Vs spin at a staggering strike-rate of 177.9.

KKR heavily rely on spinners and he can be the one to take down Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine in the opening match of the season. None of the RCB batters could do what he does against spin bowling and this will be the key on March 22.

3) Suyash Sharma

Not the most impressive IPL stats, but just like Salt, Suyash Sharma was also a part of the KKR side and was successful in patches.

He was KKR's third spinner and often played in the league and must be knowing a trick or two about their batters, especially Andre Russell and Venkatesh Iyer. He is RCB's lone front-line spinner and his 4 overs could decide the fate of the contest as the spin bowler knows a trick or two to dismiss the KKR batters.
