In a clash between metro cities, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will go up against the Delhi Capitals (DC) in match 20 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Both teams are coming off narrow losses, making this match even more important as a win here could turn their fortunes, respectively.

RCB lost out on a high-scoring encounter in the final ball, where silly fielding errors and bowling cost them the match against Lucknow Super Giants on Monday by one wicket.

Faf du Plessis will want to gain confidence from this match, with as many as three home games lined up for next week, before being on the road for away ties.

Here's our Predicted RCB XI for their DC encounter:

Openers: Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis

Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis have been RCB's most consistent batters this season, having scored 164 and 175 runs respectively. Kohli takes on the role of the aggressor, while du Plessis slams down the anchor.

It is important that one of the two stays till the end of the RCB innings, while the others rally around them.

Middle Order: Glenn Maxwell, Anuj Rawat, Dinesh Karthik, Mahipal Lomror

Apart from Maxwell, RCB's middle-lower order has not managed to make an impact, which is a worry for the side. A star for the Bengaluru-based franchise last season, Karthik is yet to set the stage on fire.

Anuj Rawat and Mahipal Lomror have shown glimpses of their talent but are expected to do much more.

All-Rounders:  Shahbaz Ahmed, Wayne Parnell

Parnell made an impact on his RCB debut, making early inroads into LSG batting. His ability to swing the ball both ways, coupled with his big-hitting abilities, is a rare commodity. Shahbaz Ahmed's potential as a floater is well-known, which enhances his role in the XI.

Bowlers: Mohammed Siraj, Harshal Patel and Wanindu Hasaranga

Siraj has been immaculate so far, as seen against LSG. Their bowling will be bolstered by the arrival of Wanindu Hasaranga, who could spin his magic in the mid-overs, where RCB have struggled to claim wickets.

Hasaranga's prowess with the bat makes him dangerous down the order as well. Harshal Patel remains their death over specialist. However, he has been on the higher side, when it comes to leaking runs.
