The Melbourne Renegades Women will face off against the Sydney Sixers Women in the second match of the 10th edition of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL). This exciting encounter will take place at the Adelaide Oval in Australia on Sunday, October 27.

Last season, the Melbourne Renegades finished at the bottom of the eight-team tournament, winning only two out of 14 matches. To improve their performance this year, they have made some key additions to their squad, including Hayley Matthews, Deandra Dottin, and Alice Capsey, who were picked during the draft. Sophie Molineux will return as the captain, hoping to lead her team to better results. Unfortunately, fast bowler Tayla Vlaeminck will miss the tournament due to a shoulder injury she sustained during the T20 World Cup 2024.

In contrast, the Sydney Sixers are two-time champions but will be without some of their star players for this match. Alyssa Healy, Maitlan Brown, and Erin Burns are all sidelined due to injuries. Despite this setback, the Sixers remain a strong contender in the league.
