Pretoria Capitals will host the Durban’s Super Giants in the fifth match of the SA20 2025 season at the iconic SuperSport Park in Centurion. Marking the second respective outing for both sides this competition, the action is slated to commence from 7:00 PM IST onwards on Sunday, January 12.

The Pretoria Capitals, under the leadership of Rilee Rossouw, lost their opening match of the SA20 2025 season to Durban’s Super Giants in a high-scoring thriller. Racing to 154-0 in a chase of 210, the Capitals batting line-up underwent a colossal middle-order collapse to concede the match to the hosts.

Ahead of their first home game of the SA20 2025 season, we look at the probable playing XI for the Pretoria Capitals against the Durban’s Super Giants.

Will Jacks And Gurbaz To Continue As Openers

Will Jacks and Rahmanullah Gurbaz, fresh from their blistering half-centuries against the Durban’s Super Giants in Durban, are set to continue as Pretoria Capitals openers in their impending home fixture. Captain Rilee Rossouw will take number three position, while young Steve Stolk and wicketkeeper-batter Kyle Verreynne will occupy the next two slots on the batting order.

England’s hard-hitting radical Liam Livingstone and New Zealand’s fast bowling all-rounder James Neesham will likely bat at number six and number seven respectively to oversea the slog overs charge of the Pretoria Capitals innings.

Anrich Nortje To Helm Pace Attack In Comeback Game

Anrich Nortje, who suffered a toe injury a couple of months ago, was spotted training at the Kingsmead Cricket Ground prior to Pretoria Capitals’ opening match of the SA20 2025 season. The lanky South African speedster will likely be drafted back into the playing XI in place of Eathan Bosch, who conceded 40 runs in his three overs against the DSG in Durban.

Senuran Muthusamy and Kyle Simmonds will serve as team’s primary spin options, while fast bowler Daryn Dupavillon will likely bowl inside the powerplay overs alongside Nortje.
