The second match of the SA20 2025 will feature the tournament favourites, Durban Super Giants up against a strong Pretoria Capitals at the Kingsmead, Durban. Wily spinner, Keshav Maharaj will lead the team as the Durban side will look to capture their maiden title.

The side is filled with plethora of superstars in the form of Quinton de Kock, Heinrich Klaasen and Kane Williamson, and the bowling, too, looks good on paper as Durban look to start off with a win against the Capitals.

Before the much-anticipated clash, we look at the probable XI for the Durban Super Giants, with a debutant on the cards.

Williamson to debut, Klaasen to hold fort in middle order

In. the absence of Marcus Stoinis, Kane Williamson will get a chance to make his SA20 debut as the New Zealand batter is likely to bat at number 3 for the team. Quinton de Kock and the West Indian, Brandon King will open for the side.

The talented Matthew Breetzke is likely to bat at number 4, and the dangerous Heinrich Klaasen is slated to play at number 5 and his role will become crucial for the Durban side. He is the man in form and the team will hope Klaasen can deliver the goods once again.

JJ Smuts will play the finisher's role at number 6, and another exciting talent, Bryce Parsons will most likely play the all-rounder's role at number 7, followed by the ever dependant Wiaan Mulder.

Maharaj to lead an exciting bowling attack

Keshav Maharaj is the captain of the side and will be the lead spinner. However, apart from his bowling, he also needs to think of the captaincy. The promising bowler, Junior Dala will be the leader of the pace attack as the team has shown a lot of faith in him for the season.

The express West Indian pacer, Shamar Joseph will be the second lead pacer and they will be accompanied by Mulder as the team looks strong in their pace department.
