Test of the two-match series. The high-voltage clash will be staged at Windsor Park in Roseau, Dominica. Talking about India, the Rohit Sharma-led side will be without ace batter Cheteshwar Pujara, who was left out of the Test squad following unimpressive outings in the WTC final. With several fresh faces included, the visitors will likely field a comparatively inexperienced side in this game.

So, before the face-off begins, let's find out what the Indian lineup will look like in Dominica.

India's Likely Playing XI For 1st Test vs West Indies

Top Order: Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal

Although India have two excellent top-order batters, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad, in their Test squad, they will likely prefer the former to replace Cheteshwar Pujara in the playing XI, as he provides them with a left-handed batting option. Meanwhile, the regular openers, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, will open the batting for the visiting team.

Middle Order: Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja, Ishan Kishan

The Indian middle order will comprise three experienced campaigners, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and Ravindra Jadeja, alongside Ishan Kishan, who will likely be trusted with the keeping duties, replacing KS Bharat. Although Bharat was impressive behind the stumps, his underwhelming outings with the bat could cost him his place in the Test setup.

Bowlers: Ravichandran Ashwin, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj, Jaydev Unadkat

Although veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was excluded from India's WTC final playing XI, he is all set to make his comeback in this Test match. Meanwhile, the pace bowling department will be led by Mohammed Siraj, with Shardul Thakur and Jaydev Unadkat likely to play his deputies. Unless a greenish deck is dished out, India won't consider fielding four genuine seamers, leaving out Ashwin, in this fixture.
