The stage is set as India Women faces yet another stern test in the Women's T20 World Cup. After an embarrasing loss Vs New Zealand and a gritty victory against Pakistan, the Indian side will collide with Sri Lanka at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Despite winning against Pakistan in a tricky run-chase, the Indian team still has a poor net run-rate and will need to beat both Sri Lanka and Australia to have a slim chance of qualifying for the semi-finals.

Sri Lanka, on the other hand have been dismal in their opening two fixtures and have virtually being knocked out of the Women's T20 World Cup. The Chamari Athapaththu led side suffered a shock defeat Vs Pakistan, followed by another loss Vs Australia. Now, they will be eager to spoil India's party as the two teams collide in Dubai. Speaking of Dubai, let us look at the pitch report of the Dubai Stadium.

IND-W Vs SL-W, Pitch Report: Slow and sluggish track awaits!

As seen throughout the tournament, the pitch at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium has provided little to no support for the batters. The pitch has been slow and low and the batters tend to struggle with stroke-making.

It is a paradise for the spinners, as they get enough purchase from the surface to trouble the batters. With the pitch being sluggish, and a massive ground in Dubai, batters will most rely on singles and doubles to churn out runs.

The game will be played in the evening and unlike a day game, the surface won't change in the second innings. However, the toss winning captain would like to chase, since they'll have a target in front of them on a tough track.
