Wade's partnership with Macalister Wright, amassing 140 runs for the second wicket, laid a strong foundation for the Hurricanes. Despite Mujeeb Ur Rahman breaking the partnership by removing Wright, Wade continued his aggressive display, scoring a remarkable 82 off 50 balls. Tim David and Corey Anderson then sealed the victory, guiding the Hurricanes to their first win of the season in front of their enthusiastic home crowd.

Aaron Finch and Jonathan Wells then took charge in the latter part, contributing significantly to the team's score with a fine finish.

Skipper Nathan Ellis and Patrick Dooley emerged as the top performers with the ball, claiming two wickets each while maintaining an economy rate of eight runs per over. Riley Meredith also made a contribution with one wicket, albeit on the expensive side. The Renegades set a challenging target for the Hurricanes, setting the stage for an exciting contest.

Hobart Hurricanes have reason to celebrate as they secure their first victory of the season, gaining valuable two points.

The quick dismissals of Wade and Hain created a momentary opportunity for the Renegades to make a comeback, but the Hurricanes prevailed in the end.
