Injuries keep on mounting the South African team as after Anrich Nortje, another pacer has been hit by it. Tearaway pacer, Gerald Coetzee has been ruled out of the upcoming tri series and the Champions Trophy due to experiencing tightness in his groin as he practiced to make a comeback at the international level.

One of the fastest rising stars in world cricket, the Proteas pacer has been in and out of the national team due to a series of injuries and this was the final nail in the coffin. Not only South Africa, but IPL side, Gujarat Titans (GT) have also been jolted by it. The pacer was expected to play big role for them in the upcoming season, but now it seems his IPL participation hangs in jeopardy.

With the cash-rich league set to commence soon, we look at 3 bowlers who can replace Gerald Coetzee in GT squad (in case he misses the IPL season).

1) Lance Morris

Though, not a big name in the world of cricket, but Lance Morris, the Aussie pacer has traits which are similar to Coetzee. He is fast, has a good short ball and can scare the batters with his lightning quick deliveries.

GT is one of those IPL teams which goes after underrated bowlers and Morris is certainly someone who has flown under the radar. In 35 T20s, he has scalped 40 wickets, but most importantly has always delivered the goods when his team needed it the most. So, if Gujarat Titans are seeking a like-to-like replacement, Morris is the answer.

2) Mustafizur Rahman

Not someone who has an express pace like Coetzee, but Mustafizur Rahman is far richer in skillset when it comes to the T20 format.

He has prior experience of playing in IPL and has honed his skills playing in different leagues across the globe. Moreover, he is a genuine wicket-taker across different phases of the game and this will benefit the Titans, as they need a death overs specialist as well. Plus, on slower surfaces, his off-cutters and change in variations will work wonders.

3) Richard Gleeson

Arguably England's best T20 bowler in domestic circuit, Richard Gleeson went unsold in the IPL auction, but he is a brilliant bowler, especially in the T20 format.

In 6 T20Is for England, he has scalped 9 wickets, and overall in this format, he has played 112 matches, picking up 127 wickets. Gleeson can bowl at decent pace, but most importantly he knows the art of taking wickets. GT, last season lacked a genuine wicket-taking bowler, but Gleeson can solve that problem for them.
