The final countdown for the World Test Championship (WTC) Final has begun, with only one day remaining until the ultimate showdown of the highly anticipated clash between cricket powerhouses India and Australia. The match will take place on June 7 at the Kennington Oval in London.

During the 2021-23 red-ball cricket season, Aussies experienced a remarkable success, earning the distinction of being the first team to secure a spot in the finals. They displayed their supremacy by overpowering England in the Ashes and convincingly defeating South Africa and West Indies in bilateral series held in Australia. Moreover, they achieved a series victory in Pakistan and attained a balanced outcome of 1-1 in their tour of Sri Lanka.

Earlier this year when the Kangaroos came to India for the Border Gavaskar Trophy they had a disappointing tour and lost the series. But this time it's not any bilateral series its an ICC event, where both the teams will get only match to prove them as a champion.

Australian's will be looking for a revenge on the English soil fuelled by a roster of highly talented players.

3 Key Players To Watch out for Australia

Steve Smith

Known for his exceptional batting skills, Steve Smith is a crucial player for Australia. His ability to consistently score runs and stabilize the innings makes him a significant threat to opposing teams. Though he has not been in good touch during the tour of India, but we once he gets his rhythm he will be big headache for the Indian team.

 Marnus Labuschagne

Marnus Labuschagne has established himself as a crucial player in the Australian team due to his consistent performances. He possesses a strong technique, unwavering determination, and an impressive ability to adapt to various playing conditions.

Labuschagne's presence provides stability to the team's batting lineup and his capability to construct significant innings, enabling the accumulation of substantial scores. His contributions have made him a formidable batsman in the Australian squad.

Mitchell Starc

The left-arm pacer in the Australian playing eleven is expected to have a significant impact on the Indian top order. Indians batters have always thrown their wickets infront of the left arm pace bowler.

Notably, two prominent batsmen, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, have faced difficulties against left-arm pacers who swing the ball inside to the right-handed batters. Therefore, Mitchell Starc will likely employ a similar strategy when bowling against these key players in the Indian batting lineup.
