[Watch] SKY Hangs His Head In Shame As KL's Dhoni-esque DRS Call Sends Him Packing

Swashbuckling Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav sustained his rough patch in the ongoing Indian Premier League season as he was dismissed cheaply in MI's tenth group-stage fixture against Lucknow Super Giants.

The incident occurred during the third over of MI's innings when they had already lost the prized wicket of Rohit Sharma

The over began on a disastrous note for Marcus Stoinis, with Suryakumar hammering him for a massive six over the deep square leg. The next delivery went for a triple, while Ishan Kishan took a single on the third ball to bring Surya back on strike.

Bowling his fourth ball of the over, Stoinis delivered a harmless length delivery down the leg side, which could've been put away easily.

However, while playing a big shot, Surya could only manage an edge, with KL Rahul taking an acrobatic catch behind the stumps.

Despite the LSG players pleading for a wicket, the on-field umpire was unmoved, prompting the home team to go upstairs.

In the replay, the TV umpire found a clear spike when the ball was passing through the bat. As a result, he asked his on-field colleague to reverse his decision and declare the batter out.

After Surya's departure, in-form batter Tilak Varma joined Ishan Kishan in the middle. As of writing, Mumbai were tottering at 27 for two in five overs.
