On Wednesday, defending champions Chennai Super Kings will lock horns with Punjab Kings in match 49 of the ongoing Indian Premier League season. The high-octane face-off is scheduled at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

So, overall, their lower middle order is in sublime form and could give CSK a run for their money. Therefore, the defending champions must use Matheesha Pathirana wisely to minimise the damage. 

On the bowling front, Punjab have found a hero in Harshal Patel, who, despite going at over ten an over, has scalped the most wickets for them in the tournament. 

Considering they don't have a really solid spin department, it's high time Kagiso Rabada and Arshdeep Singh start picking wickets at crucial junctures.
