Phil Salt came in as a late replacement of Jason Roy ahead of IPL 2024 in KKR camp and it has worked wonders for Shreyas Iyer and co. The English opener has been consistent and has delivered some powerful batting performance taking KKR off to a flier along with Sunil Narine.

In the 47th game of IPL 2024 between KKR and DC, he once again joined the party with 26-ball fifty and hammered every bowler that came his way. In the third over, he blasted Lizaad Williams for consecutive sixes. The first of those sixes was a straight hit over long off while the second six was launched over deep mid-wicket as Williams kept bowling him in the slot.

He got to his fifty in the sixth over, the last over of the Powerplay and took KKR to 79 at the end of the Powerplay. Earlier, DC scored 153 after electing to bat first as KKR bowlers delivered a strong performance with Varun Chakaravarthy taking three wickets in his four overs. 

Kuldeep Yadav was the highest scorer with 35 runs which shows how badly the DC batting line-up failed after some strong performances in earlier games.
