Legendary Indian batter Virat Kohli sustained his dream run in the ongoing Indian Premier League season as he struck a glorious knock to help RCB get a steady start in their final group-stage match against Chennai Super Kings on home soil. 

Opening the batting, Kohli hammered 47 runs off just 29 deliveries on a turning track before being dismissed by Mitchell Santner in the tenth over. 

Before Santner got him, Kohli unleashed his beast mode against ace Indian spinner Ravindra Jadeja, smacking him for several boundaries when RCB needed someone to up the ante. 

The incident occurred during the ninth over of RCB's innings when Kohli was desperately trying to break the shackles following the rain interruption. With his opening partner Faf du Plessis struggling, Kohli took his chances against Jadeja to increase the scoring rate. 

After playing two consecutive dot balls, Kohli went down on his knees to dispatch Jadeja's full-length delivery into the mid wicket stand for a massive six. After striking it beautifully, Kohli was pumped up as he gave an animated reaction. 

After Santner dismissed Kohli, Du Plessis targeted Jadeja to collect some crucial boundaries and bring up his fifty. As of writing, RCB were comfortably placed at 106 for one in 11.4 overs, with Du Plessis and Rajat Patidar unbeaten in the middle.
