In an exclusive chat with Star Sports, KKR co-owner and Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan opened up on his initial thoughts after Rishabh Pant’s near-fatal car accident, revealing how he was horrified and immediately thought of the worst possible outcome.

Rishabh Pant, the Indian star wicket-keeper, was at the peak of his career when a near-fatal car accident shunted his growth. Pant, travelling home for New Year’s Eve, ramped his car on the divider and it caught fire as the Indian cricketer was seriously injured.

It took him more than a year to regain match fitness, and he eventually made a comeback in the ongoing IPL 2024 season.

SRK Opens Up On Rishabh Pant's Accident Scare!

That being said, while his comeback story was nothing short of inspiring, many fans, including KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan, didn’t initially think Rishabh Pant would survive such a horrific mishap.

In a recent chat with Star Sports, SRK revealed that he was horrified when he first saw the video of the accident. He explained that for him, boys of Pant’s age are like his own kids, and naturally, he felt concerned as he didn’t even know if Pant had survived. 

However, SRK expressed relief that he got well and revealed that when he met Pant, he wished him all the best for the future and even gave a tight hug to express his admiration. 

Rishabh Pant is no less than an inspiration for this generation and he is set to return to normalcy as an Indian player on the field in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
