On Thursday evening, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) match against Gujarat Titans (GT) got abandoned without a ball being bowled as SRH booked their spot in the playoffs with 15 points on the board whereas GT's season comes to an end with back-to-back washouts.

After the match, in a video posted on the Sunrisers Hyderabad's Twitter handle, the Titans batter, Kane Williamson was seen meeting Kavya Maran, who is the CEO of Sunrisers Hyderabad. They were captured by the SRH social media team as they shared a friendly hug.

Kavya also happens to be the ex-boss of Williamson as the Kiwi batter had a successful 7 season stint with the 'Orange Army' where he also led SRH to the final while also winning the orange cap for being the highest run scorer of the season.

In the video, the cricketer and SRH owner are sharing a warm hug and greeting each other.

He was picked up by the Titans in 2023 on the base price of 2 crore, however, he ruptured his ACL in the season opener and was ruled out of the season. He made only two appearances in 2024, scoring just 27 runs.
