Virat Kohli has a sharp memory and doesn't forget even the smallest things that happen in his career. In the recent match for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) against Rajasthan Royals (RR), after scoring a boundary off Avesh Khan's bowling, Kohli playfully teased Avesh Khan about something he did during last year's IPL when he played for Lucknow.

In the game against RR, Virat Kohli avenged Avesh Khan for his helmet celebration against RCB in 2023.

The LSG vs RCB games in 2023 were quite the spectacle. In the first match, LSG emerged victorious in a thrilling contest. Avesh Khan, who was batting at the time, celebrated by throwing his helmet down, a move that landed him in trouble with the IPL committee. 

The second leg of the LSG vs RCB game in 2023 became even more controversial when Naveen ul Haq got into a spat with Kohli, and later Gautam Gambhir had a heated exchange with Kohli, resulting in a sour ending. 

However, when KKR and RCB faced off this year, with Gambhir as part of the KKR coaching staff, they surprised everyone by hugging each other after the game.

Now, with Avesh Khan playing for RR this season, during practice for the RR vs RCB game, Kohli brought up this incident in a lighthearted manner. 

Then, during the actual game, after hitting a boundary off Avesh's delivery, Kohli jokingly mimicked Avesh's celebration from 2023.
