Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) franchise co-owner Shahrukh Khan attended the iconic Eden Gardens on April 16 to witness his team’s high-scoring thriller against IPL 2024 table-toppers Rajasthan Royals.

Apart from enjoying the gripping on-field action, the Bollywood superstar also caught up with Indian women’s legend and former Bengal cricketer Jhulan Goswami. The two dazzling personalities seemingly met each other in the stadium at the time of the innings break.

Former Indian women’s cricketer Jhulan Goswami is currently serving as one of the commentators in the IPL 2024 season. The legendary fast bowler also attended Kolkata’s Eden Gardens on April 16 to witness KKR’s home game against Rajasthan Royals.

During the mid-innings break, Goswami caught up with KKR co-owner and Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan within the stands. The two seemingly had a delightful conversation, as evidenced from a recently-captured picture that has since gone viral on social media.

Regardless, both Shahrukh Khan and Jhulan Goswami were treated with a last-ball high-scoring thriller between the hosts and the visiting Rajasthan Royals.

After Sunil Narine pounded a career-best 109 to take KKR to a monumental 223-run total, Rajasthan Royals pulled off their chase on the back of Jos Buttler’s identical century, albeit in a tense run-chase. Buttler and Rovman Powell helped the Rajasthan Royals tick 96 runs from the final six overs of the match, as they retained their number one spot on the IPL 2024 points table.

While Rajasthan Royals will now face Mumbai Indians on April 22 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, a dispirited KKR group will stay back at Eden Gardens to host RCB on April 21.
