In the 48th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Mumbai Indians (MI) will face Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 30, 2024, at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

The teams desperately need a win as the IPL has reached its mid-way, KL Rahul-led LSG is currently placed in the fifth position with five wins and four losses in nine matches. On the other hand, Hardik Pandya & Co are placed in the ninth spot in the points table. They have three wins and six losses in nine matches.

Both the teams have lost their previous matches, Mumbai Indians have lost its last fixture against Delhi Capitals by 10 runs. Lucknow Super Giants have lost their last match against Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets.

LSG Journey So Far

LSG has had a mixed journey so far in the ongoing IPL, the team look like a complete unit with certain changes required to get back to winning momentum. They would be high on confidence, but KL Rahul might bring in Mayank Yadav to strengthen the squad. The LSG speedster is reportedly fit and the team management will hope he can straightaway slot into the side.

The LSG top-order looks quite settled with skipper KL Rahul playing some crucial knocks and building a partnership with Quinton de Kock.

The middle order has two power hitters Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran controlling the middle order. Ayush Badoni has also built up good partnerships when required to support the middle order.

The Ekana track, known as the spinners paradise, might assist LSG spinners like Krunal Pandya and Ravi Bishnoi. Mohsin Khan and Yash Thakur have handled the bowling department well providing crucial breakthrough.
