Hardik Pandya 'Brutal Dig' On MI Batters

After facing defeat against DC, Hardik Pandya indirectly blamed his batters for not keeping up to the expectations. He expressed himself and stated that when Axar Patel was bowling it was important to take chances and play power-hitting cricketer.

He indirectly blamed Tilak Verma for playing his innings slow and not taking that extra effort to target left-arm bowler Axar Patel.

The MI captain also praised DC youngster Jake Fraser-McGurk and stated that he played with maturity and exactly knew which balls to target and which bowlers to attack.

This game is becoming more and more closer. First, things were happening in a couple of overs. Nowadays, the game is changing in a couple of balls. I will pinpoint a couple of overs where we could have taken chances in the middle. To be honest, when Axar Patel was bowling, he was a left-armer, and our left-handed batters could have taken an extra chance and targeted him. Unfortunately, we lacked awareness. Jake Fraser-McGurk was brilliant. He batted with maturity and knew exactly which balls to attack. Hardik Said.

Mumbai Indians are placed in 9th position in the points table and have and have faced defeat in 6 matches out of 9. Pandya & Co will play their next fixture against Lucknow Super Giants on April 30, 2024.
