Rohit Sharma captain of the Indian Cricket team and Shreyas Iyer star player recently appeared on the all-time famous The Kapil Sharma Show hosted by mainstream comedian, Kapil Sharma on Netflix. 

During a conversation on the show Kapil Sharma asked Shreyas Iyer was asked to share his childhood inspiration and his motivation to pursue cricket as a career. Iyer without wasting any time quickly turned towards Rohit Sharma and introduced him as his idol and motivation. He also added that Rohit has inspired him to play cricket as both the cricketers are Mumbai-based. 

Shreyas Iyer stated Rohit Sharma As His Childhood Idol

"Joke nahi kar raha hoon ya aise he butter up nahi kar raha hoon, but Rohit bhai chote se idol rahe hai. Kyuki vo bhi Mumbai se hai, mai bhi waha se hoon aur unko dekhte hue mai grow hua hoon." ( Rohit bhai is my idol since childhood - he is from Mumbai and I am also from Mumbai - I have grown up watching him) Iyer Said. 

Rohit Sharma was completely in a comedy mood during his appearance on the show, with his sense of humour and way of expressing things he gave the crowd and the matter Iyer and Kapil Sharma plenty of entertainment.

When Iyer stated him to be his idol Rohit appreciated and acknowledged this gesture of Iyer and he responded in a typical 'Rohit Sharma Style' jokingly that the current generation of players grumble bad things about him behind his back in the dressing room and now just because of the presence of camera and people Iyer is acting sweet and nice. 

It is good to see such positivity and brotherhood among the players creating a good environment not just in the cricket field but outside the ground as well. 

"Dressing room mein bahut gaaliya dete hai. Ye saamne abhi log hai, camera hai. Aajkal ke youngsters dangerous hai bhai bahut. (They abuse a lot in the dressing room. There are people and cameras. Nowadays youngsters are very dangerous) Rohit replied. 

Both players are seen playing in the Indian Premier League 2024. Rohit Sharma will next be seen playing for Mumbai Indians against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 11. And on the other hand, Shreya Iyer captain of Kolkata Knight Riders will play against Chennai Super Kings on April 8.
