In match No. 36 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2024), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by a mere margin of 1 run.

In a thrilling and nail-biting encounter, Shreyas Iyer led KKR set a 223-run target on Sunday. RCB started the chase with Virat Kohli showing good form. However, he got out on a controversial and unfortunate delivery.

The partnership between Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar was one thing that turned the game for RCB in their favour. But things changed in Andre Russell's over where the franchise lost two crucial wickets in one over.

Karn Sharma kept the hope alive for RCB by hitting consecutive sixes and the franchise needed 15 runs in 4 balls.  However, after Karn got out on the next ball, Ferguson and Siraj could not end the match in RCB's favour.

Aakash Chopra Comments On Mitchell starc

In a video released by Aakash Chopra on his YouTube channel, he expressed himself and reflected on KKR's bowling and praised Harshit Rana, mystery spinner Sunil Narine and Varun Chakaravarthy.

On the other hand, he raised the question that why Mitchell Starc should not be criticised. The fast bowler has conceded 55 runs in three overs with an economy of 18.33 against RCB.

"You can criticize that we shouldn't talk this and that about Mitchell Starc, but if you are a Kolkata fan, tell me what you feel about Mitchell Starc this season. Give an honest review on whether you were happy with what you saw. If you are not happy, then if someone else is criticizing and showing the truth in the mirror, don't take your ire on him," Aakash Chopra added.
