Press conferences can either break or build a player's confidence heading into an encounter and even more if the media interaction happens to be during a World Cup.

Current India captain Rohit Sharma apart from being a world-class batter, is also known for his media handling skills, where the player has on several occasions bailed out of tricky and sometimes obnoxious questions during pressers.

However, Sharma's mic skills were at its best during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, where the opener responded to a journalist query with a witty answer regarding former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's birthday celebration.

During India's presser post at the conclusion of their WC 2019 Group Stage, Sharma was asked about Team India's plans for Dhoni's birthday celebrations, to which the former Mumbai Indians captain replied, that they would send photos to the press.

"We will send the photos to you guys" - Rohit Sharma

“Kya bolun yaar, birthday mein kya bola jaata hai, Happy Birthday (What should I say, what do we say on birthdays, Happy Birthday). We will send the photos to you guys.”

Sharma had a stellar run in the 2019 World Cup in England, where the opener slammed 648 runs in nine matches, which include five centuries and one fifty.

In the semi-final against New Zealand, the 37-year-old managed just one run, which was also Dhoni's final international appearance for India, where Virat Kohli and Co. lost by 18 runs.
