Mohammad Nawaz, Shahnawaz Dahani, and Sajid Khan have been released from the Test squad to play for their respective teams in the Pakistan Cup.
The three players were added in the squad ahead of the first Test against New Zealand in Karachi by the newly formed slection panel headed by Shahid Afridi.
However, PCB has clarified that the trio will still be a part of the Test squad for the ongoing New Zealand series.
"Following discussion. with Pakistan's head coach and selection committee, three players - Mohammad Nawaz, Shahnawaz Dahani, and Sajid Khan - have been made available to their domestic sides for 27 December fixtures of Pakistan Cup," a PCB released statement said.
"The move will allow players to continue to get match time under their belts and make a case for their selection for the three ICC Men's Super League One-Day Internationals against New Zealand," it added.
The Test series between Pakistan and New Zealand will conclude on January 6, while the ODI leg starts from January 9.
